The TREC competition in the Sandhill Gameland was held the weekend of October 16th & 17th @ Chadbourne Farm Lodge and Stable in Hoffman, NC This is a two day event that is centered on trail riding. The first day is orienteering (finding your way around with a map and compass). It is timed with check points. This was a great chance to ride in the Sandhills Gameland of NC. The second day is a timed obstacle course and Mastery of Gaits, which shows control of 2 gaits. Then the 3 scores are combined the one with the highest score wins. You can choose to compete one day or both. There are divisions from dead beginner to 2xtreme. This competition was started in Europe to test the all around trail horse.
